Hi, I am Christopher Robin Bruce, Mostly known as Chris.

Born 1940 in England of strong Scottish roots, I was trained by BEA in aircraft electronics. Moved into prototype work on Concorde, Puma and the Tornado, then into the oil exploration and wound up on IT in Stuttgart where the beer was regularly tested. I have been a Mayor,  am currently a sixth Dan in Wado Ryu Karate and I have travelled the world.

Started writing in the 60s, had items published in the 80s, more in the naughties but these were focussed articles, usually about sailing. The shorts and the mediums started seriously in the 90s and have been lovingly cared for, brought up to date where it mattered and polished a little more.

I write for my own amusement. The tales still make me laugh and sometimes cry, both the fact and the fiction, even some of the poetry.

Writing for me is like juggling, (which I am not good at), and it involves holding about twelve balls in the air at the same time. Losing concentration to, say, have a nights sleep or a meal, can cause the whole lot to tumble to the ground to be rebuilt/balanced/tossed again the next day.

Very exciting.

This site is dedicated to
Dear Friends Jill Elson,
Andrew Wilson
and Tommy Stewart.
We tested many a pint together
and their friendship helps to
define who I am.
They have gone their own way,
Too early, far too early!
